PGP-Encrypted eSIM Delivery

What Is PGP Delivery?

PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) is encryption that lets you receive messages only you can read. When you provide your PGP public key at simZILLA checkout, your eSIM QR code gets encrypted before delivery. Only your private key, which never leaves your device, can decrypt it.

No other eSIM provider does this. Not one. Your QR code is the key to your connectivity. With PGP delivery, that key is locked in a box that only you can open.

Why It Matters

Without PGP, your eSIM QR code travels through email servers in plain text. Your email provider can read it. Anyone who compromises your email can read it. Anyone who compromises the email server can read it.

With PGP, the QR code is encrypted before it leaves simZILLA's server. It stays encrypted in transit, on your email provider's servers, and in your inbox. Only when you decrypt it with your private key does it become readable.

How to Set Up PGP

If you already have a PGP key pair:

1. Copy your public key. It starts with -----BEGIN PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK-----.
2. Paste it into the PGP field at simZILLA checkout.
3. Complete your purchase.
4. When your eSIM is ready, you'll receive a PGP-encrypted message.
5. Decrypt it with your private key to reveal the QR code.

If you're new to PGP:

1. Install a PGP tool: GPG Suite (macOS), Gpg4win (Windows), or gpg (Linux).
2. Generate a key pair: gpg --gen-key.
3. Export your public key: gpg --armor --export your@email.com.
4. Copy the output and paste it at simZILLA checkout.

Three Delivery Modes

simZILLA supports three delivery modes:

• Email + PGP/MIME: Encrypted email with QR code attached as PGP-encrypted file. Standard PGP email workflow.
• Email-only: Plain text email with download link. Fallback when no PGP key is provided.
• Key-only: No email required. Encrypted QR stored on the checkout page. You copy the encrypted blob and decrypt it locally. Maximum privacy. No email involved at all.

Key-Only Delivery: Maximum Privacy

Key-only delivery is the most private option. You don't provide an email address at all. After payment, your checkout page displays a PGP-encrypted block of text. You copy it, decrypt it with your private key, and the QR code is revealed. No email. No server storage. No third party.

What If PGP Fails?

If your PGP key is malformed or encryption fails, simZILLA falls back to plain text delivery. Your eSIM is still delivered, just without encryption. The system never crashes due to PGP errors. You'll see a warning if encryption failed.
